How HOTWARE LTD handles information when you use hotware.co.uk. Last updated: 2026.
Who we are
HOTWARE LTD (“we”, “us”) operates the website hotware.co.uk. For privacy questions about this site, contact us at hello@hotware.co.uk.
What this site does
This is a static marketing and information site. It does not require an account. Product software may have separate terms and privacy notices when you install or subscribe to a specific tool.
Data we may process
- Theme preference — your light/dark choice is stored in your browser via
localStorageunder the keyhotware-theme. It does not leave your device unless you clear site data yourself. - Contact enquiries — if you email us or submit a form that is later connected to a backend, we process your name, email address, topic, and message to respond. The demo form on this static build does not transmit data by itself.
- Technical logs — hosting on Cloudflare Pages may process standard request metadata (such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps) for security, performance, and abuse prevention under Cloudflare’s role as infrastructure provider.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set advertising cookies on this static site. Theme preference uses local storage, not cookies. If we add analytics later, we will update this notice and prefer privacy-respecting options.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
Where UK data protection law applies, we typically rely on:
- Legitimate interests — operating a secure website and responding to business enquiries.
- Contract — when processing is needed to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to perform one.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information under law.
Retention
Email and enquiry records are kept only as long as needed to handle the conversation and ordinary business records, then deleted or archived according to our retention practice. Hosting logs follow the provider’s standard retention.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with infrastructure providers (for example Cloudflare) that process it on our behalf, or if required by law.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Contact us first so we can help promptly.
Children
This site is aimed at professionals and organisations. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this notice when our practices or products change. The “last updated” year at the top will change when material revisions are published.
